Wow, this one took me off guard. After the unleashing of Impak Maksima unofficial trailer around the net not long ago, suddenly there’s another local drift movie in the making. Just by coincidence, I went to Drift.com.my website to look for some LFS players and there it is on the frontpage, coverage on the Evolusi KL Drift launch.
The thing is…most of Yusof Haslam’s Skop Production movies were god damn jiwang karat. Plus, when I read the press interview with the Evolusi KL Drift director, Shamsul Yusoff (yes, the son of Yusof Haslam), the storyline described by him seems like a typical Skop Production stuff. There’s Fasha Sandha though…*kawaaaaiiii~!* 
The stunts for EKLD will also be done by different drivers from Impak Maksima. Local ace drifter Nazrul Afizi and Drift.com.my’s Zee, Terence and Yoong will provide their skills and talents to the move. Cars that will be featured in the movie would be Skyline R34 & R33, wide body Sil1580, a Slyvia S13 owned by Terence and a RX7 FD. A drift movie without AE86? Yes, I know I’m being stereotype but come on, you know what I mean…
So, I guess it’s up to the viewers themselves to decide which drift movie are better. Personally, my money is on Impak Maksima since judging from the trailer, there will be more action and the appearance from more local drift stars are definately a plus point. At the other side, EKLD has a possibility to become a jiwang movie with some drift action in between scene. But there’s Fasha Sandha…hmmm…I’ll watch both definately.
